Three Cats, One Journey Through — Suita, Osaka

Categories:  >

Facing their very first long stay alone — ten whole days —

were three lovely cats: Mei-chan, Rin-chan, and Kabu-kun.

Gentle, easygoing Mei-chan.😺

For the first day or two, perhaps she was nervous —

she wouldn't eat her canned food,

and whenever I came near, she'd slip quietly away

and move to another room.🐾💨

But little by little, she seemed to grow used to me.

When I began preparing her meals, she'd wait close by,

and day by day, she ate more and more.🎵

Apart from mealtimes, she kept a comfortable distance,

passing the days at her own gentle pace.

Mei-chan is under treatment for an illness,

so she also needed her medicine,

but she took it without much fuss at all —

such a very good girl.

Rin-chan, the one who warmed to me most of all.

From the very first day, she let me pet her,

and played with her toys with me —

I was able to truly connect with Rin-chan.🙌

As she grew comfortable, she'd roll right over while I petted her,

asking sweetly for more affection.

Of the three cats, she took to me the most.🥰

And Kabu-kun, who is ever so timid.

Kabu-kun, whose coat and markings look much like Mei-chan's,

never once came out while I was there.

But he always stayed somewhere I could see him —

and that's the wonderful thing about Kabu-kun.😊👍

At first he wouldn't touch his Churu treats,

but after a few days, he began to eat them,

and this sitter was overcome with joy.

During this stay,

the one most affected by the change in her surroundings

was Rin-chan.

After a few days had passed,

she stopped playing with her toys,

she wouldn't eat her Churu treats right away,

and Rin-chan seemed downhearted, her usual spark gone.

There were small changes in her condition, too…💦

Hoping to ease her worries as much as I could,

from that day on, I spoke softly to Rin-chan —

"It's alright, it's alright."

"Mama will surely come home."

"Mama is doing her best, so let's do our best too, Rin-chan." —

and I kept petting her, slowly and gently, all the while.🤗

In the end, her energy and appetite returned, and her condition settled.

What a relief!😭✨

Through this first long stay alone,

even with the stress of Mama being away,

all three of them were brave and came through it together.💪😼

Kainaru-kun, Made for the Sea — Nishi-ku, Yokohama

Categories:  >

Written as "Kainaru," his name means the crest of ocean waves!

And he's a handsome fellow who lives up to that wonderfully cool name!

Matching his good looks, he has the loveliest voice, too — such a shame I can't share it with everyone😊

He played with his string in the sweetest little voice,

making Kainaru-kun cool and adorable all at once❣️

Until

we meet again, let's play lots and lots🥰

Uni-chan and Shirasu-chan — Suita, Osaka

Categories:  >

The adorable little cats I had the pleasure of caring for are

Uni-chan, one year old, a girl.

And Shirasu-chan, six months old, a girl.

Hello there~!

Oh? Did she come to welcome me??

Uni-chan: "Oh, that's not Mama."

— and with that, Uni-chan turned right on her heels😆

Did she mistake me for Mama? (Ha!)

Uni-chan,

do please let me take care of you~~~!

Uni-chan: "Is that so?"

Yes! It's lovely to be with you~😘

Now then, I must get Shirasu-chan out of her house!

Hello, Shirasu-chan✨

Shirasu-chan: "Ah, it's that lady from the other day!"

— something like that, perhaps?😆

Still so soft and delicate, Shirasu-chan looks as though she might break if I held her too tight.

Shirasu-chan is still very much at her playful peak!

We played and played and played together~💕︎💕︎

Uni-chan, the slightly older big sister❣️

And that Uni-chan was calm and demure, wrapped in an air of quiet elegance❤️

She relaxed for me this much!

Thank you so much.

Both of them absolutely love their cat teaser✨

There they go, eyeing it up (ha!).

The two of you did such a wonderful job holding down the fort❣️

Uni-chan, Shirasu-chan♡

I truly, sincerely

look forward to the day we meet again❣️ 🥰

Shy but Sweet, Little caocao-chan — Kanagawa-ku, Yokohama

Categories:  >

This time, my little companion for some home-alone time was the soft and fluffy caocao-chan.

On the first day of care, she was quite wary — "Who's this?" "Is it okay to come closer?"

But once we started playing with her toys, she came cuddling up with sweet little "meow~ meow~"s. She was just adorable.

On the second day, she welcomed me at the door with a "I've been waiting for you, meow~!"

We played so much together. caocao-chan, let's play again soon.♥️

A Close-Knit Brother and Sister — Meguro-ku, Tokyo

Categories:  >

Shun-kun and Milky-chan, an eighteen-year-old brother and sister.

As my visits grew more frequent, they began greeting me with a "meow," letting me know they were hungry.

With hearty appetites, the two of them are full of life!

They even let me brush them.

Milky-chan, who comes close for a little chat.

And Shun-kun, wonderfully easygoing and sweet.

Over three days of care, the two of them grew ever so close to me.💕

I'm already looking forward to seeing these two lovely ones again.

Bring Me My Breakfast at Once! — Chuo-ku, Osaka

Categories:  >

My first visit of the morning was to a brown tabby and white cat.

This is Mugi-kun.

"Good morning!"

"Breakfast time, meow~!" he greeted me, trotting over with a sprightly little step.

But then — uh-oh, what's this?!

Near the door of the room… he'd had a little accident💦

A classic "home-alone" moment!

"Teehee😜"

"So sorry, meow~."

"Kindly see to my breakfast before you tidy up the litter, if you please!"

"Oh no you don't! Litter comes first in the care routine — and besides, you were the one who made the mess!"

Aw, he looked so crestfallen…

I tidied up quickly and got his breakfast ready☺️

"Breakfast is served~! Here you go!"

He came dashing over to his food, and at last, the long-awaited munching time!💕

"That was delicious! Thank you for the meal!"

But the truth is, Mugi-kun was still a little peckish💧

You see, Mugi-kun is a touch on the plump side and tends to eat too fast, so his mom came up with a clever idea — putting half of his food into a plastic bottle with holes in it, so he can eat slowly while he plays.

Just as his mom intended, Mugi-kun rolled the bottle along as he ate.

Wonderful!✨✨

Sweet, affectionate little Mugi-kun🥰

Until we meet again!🤗💕
