Bring Me My Breakfast at Once! — Chuo-ku, Osaka

Categories:  >

My first visit of the morning was to a brown tabby and white cat.

This is Mugi-kun.

"Good morning!"

"Breakfast time, meow~!" he greeted me, trotting over with a sprightly little step.

But then — uh-oh, what's this?!

Near the door of the room… he'd had a little accident💦

A classic "home-alone" moment!

"Teehee😜"

"So sorry, meow~."

"Kindly see to my breakfast before you tidy up the litter, if you please!"

"Oh no you don't! Litter comes first in the care routine — and besides, you were the one who made the mess!"

Aw, he looked so crestfallen…

I tidied up quickly and got his breakfast ready☺️

"Breakfast is served~! Here you go!"

He came dashing over to his food, and at last, the long-awaited munching time!💕

"That was delicious! Thank you for the meal!"

But the truth is, Mugi-kun was still a little peckish💧

You see, Mugi-kun is a touch on the plump side and tends to eat too fast, so his mom came up with a clever idea — putting half of his food into a plastic bottle with holes in it, so he can eat slowly while he plays.

Just as his mom intended, Mugi-kun rolled the bottle along as he ate.

Wonderful!✨✨

Sweet, affectionate little Mugi-kun🥰

Until we meet again!🤗💕

An Air of True Nobility — Suginami-ku, Tokyo

Categories:  >

This time, I had the honor of caring for

Manpuku-kun, a Basset Hound.

"Manpuku" — boundless fortune!

What an auspicious name — it seems to promise blessings all its own.😊

I can see exactly why his family named him Manpuku.

That gentle, easygoing presence

carries an almost divine radiance.✨✨✨

Manpuku-kun — or rather, His Lordship Manpuku — is a most friendly personage.

With an upward glance, he requests a tummy rub.

Divine, and yet so utterly adorable!

And I, his humble servant, could never dream

of refusing such a request.

His Lordship Manpuku, relaxing at his leisure.💕

His Lordship, with a face rather like a sleek new bullet train.🚄

His Lordship Manpuku, who bewitches this sitter with an air of true nobility.

Thank you for such a rich and wonderful time.😊

Little Aveni-chan, Who Cannot See — Yashio, Saitama

Categories:  > > >

The big fishy family💕

This time, the request was a very important mission: to hand-feed an Amazon puffer who cannot see, gently bringing bloodworms right up to her mouth with a pair of tweezers.

Quite the weighty task!

A great responsibility indeed!

And here she is — our little blind-eyed Aveni-chan🐟

Since she hadn't been given a name,

I took the liberty

(forgive me!)

of fondly calling her "little Aveni-chan❤️" throughout my care.

Carefully, silently, I gave it my all — bringing the tweezers close to her face so she could eat her bloodworms.

The owner told me I could extend the time up to thirty minutes if she wasn't eating,

but if she still couldn't manage after that, it was perfectly fine to stop there.

As luck would have it, during our trial run at the meeting, she succeeded in just a few tries — and the owner and I clasped hands and cheered, "We did it!"😆

On the day of care, I was more nervous than ever,

but little Aveni-chan gave it her best!

Chomp… ah, it slipped.

Chomp… oh, so close!

Chomp… oh no, it fell again😭

Chomp, chomp…

We did it🙌

Chomp, chomp, gulp!

Mission accomplished!

Oh, what a relief, what a relief😲‍💨

I felt my shoulders ease at last.

The owner had even prepared a separate tank for little Aveni-chan to make things easier for me — I was so grateful and moved!

Thank you so very much!

With my heart at ease,

next it was on to little Aveni-chan's family — the other Amazon puffers and the shrimp!

The panda corydoras.

The medaka (Japanese rice fish).

The hidojo (orange weather loach) and the striped loach.

Fourteen in all, perhaps?

Everyone going chomp, chomp, chomp.

So very endearing,

I felt the urge to watch them forever😅

But time was up in the blink of an eye,

and I left the room with a heart full of fond reluctance🥰

Eating Well, Staying Healthy — Meguro-ku, Tokyo

Categories:  >

This is Hector-kun.

With such a dignified face, you'd never guess it — but he's fifteen years old!

And this October, he'll turn sixteen.☘️

Is the secret to his good health a tasty meal?

He never skips his grooming, either!

Suki-chan simply adores people.💕

She'd follow right after me: "Pay attention to me, pay attention to me!"

Pressing herself up against the window,

or keeping a close watch as I cleaned the litter box.🐾

Or was she actually waiting for her meal?

Mealtime is always a battle⚡ for the prize — Hector-kun did his very best to make sure Suki-chan didn't snatch his away!

Let's meet again, happy and well!🐱

Konbu-kun, with All My Heart — Higashiyodogawa-ku, Osaka

Categories:  >

This is Konbu-kun, a British Shorthair.

A boy, four years old.

"Hello there~!"

— I called as I came in, but he was nowhere to be seen💦

Where could he be? Time for a little "are-you-alive" check!

And there he was (ha!).

Up on top of his cage,

he'd settled himself into a carry bag (a backpack one)!😆

On day one, we got acquainted with my "lick-the-Churu-off-my-finger" strategy.😆

And of course, my hands were nicely sanitized with an alcohol-free cleaner beforehand.

After that, he vanished from sight again.😅

By day two, he'd come to recognize me as "the person who brings the Churu" (ha!).

And on day three, as if he'd been waiting for me, Konbu-kun came over himself with a little "meow~."

He nuzzled right up against me.

This was the happiest, most joyful moment of all.😭😂🥰👍

It's everything a pet sitter could wish for.

Dignified and handsome, clearly showered with his family's love, just a touch bashful, and ever so friendly — that's Konbu-kun.💕︎💕︎

Should the chance ever come again, I sincerely hope to see him — that's this sitter's heartfelt wish.🙏

Thank you so much!

Two Little Charmers — Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo

Categories:  >

This was my very first time caring for Chip-chan and Chucky-chan.

The moment I stepped into the room, the two of them welcomed me with all the energy in the world!

Chip-chan, whose charm point is a bandana-style collar, is a little reserved

but when I held her, she'd press herself snugly against me.

Chucky-chan, whose charm point is a pair of suspenders, shows her love with her whole body! Before a walk, she'd wiggle her little bottom with sheer joy♪

Both of them ate plenty and were such good girls on their walks, too.✨️

Sweet Chip-chan and Chucky-chan, adorable from start to finish. Caring for them brought a natural smile to my face and filled me with energy.☺️
